Perfumes, creams or cosmetics: soaps, creams and perfumes leave residues in the form of particles that are difficult to remove and can usually lodge on the smallest surfaces of the piece, giving a dirty sensation.
Chemicals, e.g. cleaning products and alcohol: contact with any kind of detergent can cause the jewelry to lose its lustre, both gold and gemstones.
Salt water: Contact with salt water can damage the jewelry, causing it to lose its lustre. It is recommended that jewelry not be placed in the sea or in chlorinated swimming pools.
Avoid wearing jewelry when playing sports. Rough activities can cause shocks that damage the claws of settings or clasps, making it possible to lose the gemstones or the jewelry itself.
Avoid pulling and exerting forceful pressure on the jewelry as this may damage it.

It is recommended to store each piece of jewelry individually in Mumit boxes to protect them from rubbing against other jewelry. This way, you will also avoid knots in your necklaces.
If you use a jewelry box, try to keep jewelry separate from each other and always close necklaces/bracelets to prevent knots from forming.
